The epidemiology of influenza in northern Australia

This project will examine the epidemiology of influenza in northern Australia. As influenza is a virus that infects the respiratory system, this project therefore falls into the respiratory health theme of HOT NORTH. Completing this project will help develop measures that minimize the impact of the virus in this region, helping protect the large Indigenous population in the area. This project therefore also aligns with HOT NORTH’s aim to close the gap in Indigenous health disadvantage.
